Podcast in an Online Workshop

This is an advanced feature. One would need an mp3 file that can be recorded with Audacity, then uploaded to Box.net and then sent to Blogger.

Video in Blogger

Another great feature that Blogger supports is the ability to play video! If there is a video clip from You Tube, Teacher Tube, or School Tube, that would support your online workshop simply create a link to the url.

If there is a clip on your computer, there is a Blogger tool that will upload your video right into the post.

Blogger will accept AVI, MPEG, QuickTime, Real, and Windows Media, 100 MB maximum size.

Images in a Post

There are different ways to upload images into your blogs. If you would like one to be permanent, upload it to the side margin of your blog. If there is an image that matches your post, upload it to the post from either your computer, or the Internet.

Blogger will accept jpg, gif, bmp and png images, 8 MB maximum size

Links in a Post

During your workshop, it is possible for you to enter links to an Internet site and ask questions about it. For example:

This is the link to the TDSB school library website

Please click on the link and comment on at least two of the sites that could be used to support your online workshop.

Structure of the Workshop

In this post, the facilitator could post the different modules/units for the online course, or list the agenda. Questions about the modules could be submitted through the comments box.

For example:

Introduction to the online workshop
Diagnostic Assessment
Teaching Learning Strategies
Resource Sharing
Evaluation and Reflection
